Check Eligibility

• The service is fully remote
• Applicant visits the BLS Virtual Consular Assistance website for Brazil; reviews Visa Types and Fees on the website to confirm that their visa category is covered under VCA.

Book an Appointment

• Applicant selects an available VCA appointment slot.
• Applicant completes the payment to confirm the booking.

Receive Confirmation & Checklist

• Applicant receives an appointment confirmation email along with the document checklist.

Upload Documents

• Applicant uploads all required documents immediately on the applicant’s portal with their login

Document Review by BLS

• BLS staff reviews the uploaded documents.
• Documents are either approved or rejected (with reasons).
• Applicants can check this on the applicant portal and upload new documents

First Virtual Consular Appointment

• Purpose: Document review and correction.
• Applicant is informed of any missing or incomplete documents.
• Any other clarifications the applicant has

Upload Corrections

• Applicant uploads the missing or corrected documents.
• BLS staff verifies that the full set meets the checklist requirements.

Submission to the Consulate

Once documents are complete, the applicant is instructed to either:

• Mail the complete application package to the Consulate, or
• Book an in person appointment if preferred.

Consulate Decision

• The Consulate processes the application.
• The passport is returned to the applicant after a decision is made.

No. BLS does not submit applications on behalf of applicants. Applications must be submitted in person or by mailing it at the Consulate of your jurisdiction.
